TacBoard has always run on plain texting: no app, no account, nothing to download. That's still true and isn't going anywhere. Now it sits alongside a second option, a QR code guests can scan straight from your sign or table card.
Each guest simply picks whichever feels most natural to them. Someone who'd rather scan, scans. Someone who'd rather text the number directly, texts it. There's no right way and no extra step, just a choice.
Why We Added It
Guests come in every style. Some will always prefer typing a number they can see and save. Others would rather point a camera and go. Offering both means nobody has to work around the option that isn't built for them.
Scan it. Point a phone camera at the code on your sign, and it opens a text already addressed to your event's number, ready to attach a photo and send.
Text it. Type the number in directly, exactly as guests always have.
